Rawwwr

Thought I would leave you guys with me riding a lion

so I sit here in Singapore airport updating my log for a nagging mother (love you :D) I have technically been awake for 2 days so I am not worrying about my grammar (Father). so USA is finally dealt with. it was ok, I done a lot of things but I think I was constantly waiting for my trip to properly start. because for me this trip is all about the Asian cultures, I mean, I love culture, after being brought up (luckily) to visit places like Kenya and Creete the USA is a bit bland. and it is kind of trippy, they are so like this you start the feel comfortable and then BLAM something comes along and you are reminded where you are, for instance this morning (2days ago in reality) I was in my hotel in Los Angeles and I asked the woman to put my receipt in the bin, she was like what? and I was all like what? what have I said that's wrong because she was so confused. turns out my big "boo boo" (dad Reference) was the word bin... she was looking for trash can. really? how can someone not know what a bin is. anyway I am done there now. not to soon either.
so today (2days ago) I got my flight from LAX. I had a lovely shuttle bus driver and we had a great chat (even stayed polite when I told her I had no tip for her because I gave all my change to a homeless man). so after I got the the airport SUPER early because silly me opened my itinery to the wrong page and read my flight as 12.30 rather than 3.45. I got checked in, whilst I was waiting in the check in line I met these American schoolchildren. at first I thought they where going to the same school but this girl told me that they came from all over the usa and they applied to go and help elephants, or teach soccer, or teach English to young thais. I think this is amazing. I really wish that the uk had something like that, although many mums reading this would disagree on the grounds that they would have a heart attack with their little babies away for 5 weeks!!
so now comes the plane, the plane was actually gorgeous. I sat on the upper deck and there was a storage area next to the window that my laptop and nook went in, they had super comfy seats and a great in flight system, and so after 10 hours I finally start to drift off and we have to land, no problem I think, those who are getting out at Tokyo can go (meaning I would have a free seat next to me STRETCH OUT!!!) but no we all had to disembark, so we had to go through security to wait to get back on board. so we get back on board for the next part of my journey 6 and a half hour flight to Singapore. at this time I took some sleep pills and passed out until we landed.
so here I am after writing you guys a nice long blog, in the beautiful airport in Singapore. its amazing. they have a koi pond, a butterfly garden, a free 24h cinema, motion active escalators and travelators (which threw me out because I didn't think they where working) they have showers and a 'nap area' and free wifi which means you guys get to read my super tired dribble.
so im gonna go now, wendy is probably getting impatient waiting to read (don't know why) and im going to leave you with the toilet I happened across in toyko. the thing came with instructions! and buttons for deodorizers and a bedeu (however you spell it). I would have love to spent half and hour playing with it, but people would have go the wrong idea. goodnight and chow, love you all xX

today we decided to go to san fran zoo, it wwas so big!!

on our second full day in san Francisco we went down to the pier. we where told that the tram drops us off at pier 39 however it dropped us off at pier 5 and we had about a 3 mile walk up to the right place, passing lots of posh fish restaurants on the way. when we finally go there we found out that all the tours to Alcatraz where full until next Thursday! so we decided to go on a boat ride instead. we where told we would go around the Alcatraz island and go up to the golden gate bridge and see the sealions. however when we got on the boat the fog started rolling in and we couldn't see anything and didn't get to see the golden gate bridge nor the sealions! so It was pretty poop.

 I love this picture below
